Head of agency at MSN UK
leaves to join video enabler Coull
MSN UK’s head of agency sales has
left to join interactive video platform Coull
as its new commercial director. In his
new role at Coull, Hitesh Bhatt will be responsible for expanding agency relationships,
optimising business opportunities and growing revenue from the Coull Engage
product.
Coull’s chief executive officer Irfon Watkins is confident that Bhatt’s
15 years of experience in the advertising and media industry will prove to be a
great asset for Coull’s future growth. He
comments, "With Hitesh, we will fully understand our clients' business
needs and work in collaboration to develop effective video advertising products
and services."
Bhatt’s enthusiasm echoes this confidence, “Coull is delivering
innovative, brand-driven, measurable campaigns that allow online video to truly
engage with audiences in a non-intrusive way. I look forward to the opportunity to
demonstrate how far the medium is moving along and how brands can maximise the effectiveness
of online video campaigns using the Coull platform."
The appoint of Bhatt follows growth at Coull both in head-count and also
financially, with the video technology company receiving Series
B funding from Finance South West Growth Fund (managed by YFM Group),
Creative Ventures Group and private investors earlier in the year.
Prior additions to the Coull team this year include Claudia
Giovannoni, who was recruited in early March to head up the marketing
department and Gillian Kent, former MSN
UK managing director and CEO of Propertyfinder.com and Creative Ventures Group founder Spyro Korsanos to
the board of directors.
Bhatt worked at MSN for three years where he was involved in the
strategic direction and management of the MSN UK sales team, negotiating contracts
with agencies such as Aegis, Omnicom and Publicis. Prior to working for MSN UK, he held positions
with EMAP, MTV UK and Yahoo!
