One Day after Launch of a Partnership with Jambool’s
Send Good Karma Application, HEALTH.COM Built a Fanbase of More Than
2000 People on Facebook!
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Just 24 hours after Health.com teamed up
with Jambool's Send Good Karma
application, more than 2,000 Facebookers became brand-new fans of Time
Inc.'s new health and wellness destination.
Now, that's good karma.
Send Good Karma, made by leading application and widget provider
Jambool, is a thriving social network application. There are four
million Good Karma users who send friends cheerful wishes for goodness
and prosperity through Facebook and other social networking sites.
Health.com, which launched in May 2008, takes a practical,
problem-solving approach to health information, helping users take
better control over their health experience.
The 80,000 people who use Send Good Karma every day can become fans of
Health.com and send two special karmas - Daily Health and Warm Healing -
quickly and at no cost.
"Working in the social media space with a genuine social media enterprise–and
seeing where that happens to lead–is the real
motivation behind the Health.com and Jambool collaboration," says John
Brown, General Manager of Health.com. "Social media applications are
proving to be a necessary part of the marketing mix—an
innovative way for brands to become more engaged with consumers. And for
Health.com, with Jambool's already-popularized Send Good Karma
application, they were able to get our campaign off the ground very
quickly while at the same time drastically increasing our fan base on
Facebook," adds Brown.
Jambool believes that Health.com is a perfect match for Send Good Karma
and its growing legions of Facebook fans. Other brands that focus on
well-being and health would be a natural fit as well. "Karma is all
about creating goodness in other people's lives," said Vikas Gupta,
co-founder and CEO of Jambool. "Good Karma engages users around an issue
that they feel passionately about."
Applications on social networks such as Facebook provide millions of
opportunities to interact with their target audience every day. It is a
low-cost and highly engaged form of advertising that reaches people and
spreads to their friends. Jambool is blazing the trail in connecting
brands and advertisers with their target audience.
"Health.com is a great brand and partner, and we are excited to have
them be a part of Send Good Karma. It is an ideal partnership—enabling
us to provide a better experience for our users, and great value for
Health.com," Gupta said. "Our social applications present dramatic
engagement for users, and we can help brands and advertisers quickly
build a large audience on social networks for themselves through our
applications."
