REDONDO BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Small business owners / managers now have a place to vent their frustrations, share their ideas, and seek help in running their businesses. A new blog created just for small businesses has been launched at www.small-biz.biz.

Ive been running my own business for 22 years and the only people who are interested in hearing my problems are other small business owners, says Jack Bernstein, creator of the blog, Small Business Ideas. Friends and family are tired of hearing me talk about the difficulties of running a small business, and quite honestly, if theyre in working at large corporations they often look down on my company. Thats why I started this blog. Ive put up a few articles just to get things going but its open to everyone to say anything they want.

Some of the topics already posted and open for discussion include:

  • The aggravation of having a staff that never says Thank you for bonuses and raises.
  • Not getting respect from larger corporations when you try to do business with them.
  • Lessons to be learned from Starbucks, the company that turned a common commodity into a branded experience.
  • The anger at a staff that wastes money on postage and office supplies because, The company pays for it.
  • Getting out of a death spiral when your relationship with an important client goes sour.

Other topics covered in the blog are healthcare costs, salary reviews, feeling isolated, dealing with American Express, and so on.

One of the reasons I created this blog is that I need help. Even after all these years, I dont know how to apportion raises or properly review employees, and Im tired of reading articles by academics or large company executives who have never had to dig into their own pockets to make certain everyone gets paid on time, says Bernstein.
