AuthenTec Unveils New TrueSuite™ Consumer PC Application

MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AuthenTec (NASDAQ:AUTH), the world’s leading provider of smart
fingerprint solutions, announced today that it will be releasing its new
TrueSuite™ PC application software, targeted for consumer PCs and
netbooks. AuthenTec’s first commercially released application software,
TrueSuite has been designed to provide a simple and inviting interface
for consumers to access the multiple features of AuthenTec fingerprint
sensors.
TrueSuite was developed to make fingerprint-enabled PCs simple and
easier to use with increased user convenience and personalization.
TrueSuite supports a variety of operating systems, but has been
optimized for the forthcoming Windows 7 operating system (OS) with
extended support for the new Windows Biometric Framework (WBF)
integrated within the OS. TrueSuite will soon be shipping to a leading
PC manufacturer for inclusion in their new consumer laptop models.

TrueSuite simplifies the fingerprint enrollment process, enables Windows
and Web site logon as well as user management of logons and passwords.
TrueSuite also allows PC users to lock and unlock screensavers, files,
and folders, and user screens can be easily personalized with a wide
range of colors and themes. TrueSuite user settings and identities can
be easily and securely exported to other PCs. Embedded video and user
help screens offer simple guidance to improve the user experience.
TrueSuite is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP
(SP2 and SP3) operating systems and Internet Explorer (IE) Version 6,
