New software by a technology company in the United States connects apple iPod Touch and iPhone users when they are in a iFob hotspot.
ICloseBy say their software iFob ?brings the reality? back to social networking by automatically picking up the signal of another user and sending you their profile and vice versa. iFob is free to download onto the apple handheld devices, with no registration or browser loading required.
A spokesperson for iCloseBy explains how the software works, ?Because there is no login or registration with iFob, you can change your iFob user name, or your micro-profile, as often as you want. You can use iFob as a tool, or use it as a social networking game where you exchange user names and micro descriptions of yourself with real people who are just a smile away.?
Those choosing to use
iFob but who may be worried about their privacy can choose to have their iFob just receive alerts from others in their vicinity before choosing to send their own mini-profile in return.
