Mugzy, a new platform for monetising user generated content (UGC) sites was alpha-launched today.  Engineered by Pure Verticals, Mugzy offers a series of tools for leveraging the promotional potential of user generated text or video content for the benefit of its creators as well as the social networking sites that host it.

Pure Verticals claim that the features available when the site is made public will allow for the easy implementation of highly targeted advertisements and endorsements directly within content.  Once the text or video is posted, products within the content can be tagged to the vendor?s website where they can be purchased directly.

Embedded tracking and reporting applications come into play to ensure the correct allocation of a set percentage of each transaction or ad engagement generated, based on a cost-per-click (CPC) model.  Pure Verticals says that functionalities are in place to prevent advertisers? messages from appearing alongside content they deem inappropriate.

Pure Verticals co-founder and chief operations officer Theresa Klinger is passionate about the potential benefits Mugzy offers,  contending that ?Mugzy enables the enthusiast to plug directly into the social commerce process by providing the tools they need to customize user-generated content with relevant products and ads.?

At this stage, Mugzy is being tried on three of Pure Vertical?s own social networks, namely IPTVRecipes.com , IPTVEvents.com and IPTVMMA.com. In anticipation of the platform?s official launching, Pure Verticals has issued an invitation addressed to all vendors, retailers and advertiser to upload their products or advertisement through its BrandBazaar website.

According to the press release issued today, Pure Verticals are in talks with a range of user generated content (UGC) sites.
