SlideShare Launches Two Business Services - LeadShare and AdShare
Professional Sharing Community Lets Businesses Connect with Customers
Through Content
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SlideShare.net, the world?s largest professional sharing community,
today unveiled two premium services: LeadShare and AdShare, targeting
businesses using social media to reach customers.
Both services can be accessed from a new section of the site: SlideShare
Business, [http://www.slideshare.net/business].
"Our vision is to build new types of advertising concepts that both
businesses and users will embrace. End-users will find AdShare and
LeadShare useful to learn about relevant products in a contextual
manner, while businesses will find AdShare & LeadShare useful for
reaching new customers. Instead of expensive webinars and white paper
campaigns, we want businesses to try LeadShare, where there is no risk
or upfront cost. With AdShare, businesses can promote their content
contextually, and speak to targeted customers in a direct, authentic
voice.? said Rashmi Sinha, CEO of SlideShare.
LeadShare is a self-service tool for capturing leads with all your
documents & presentations. To capture leads, companies currently have to
work with third-party vendors to set-up lead generation campaigns.
LeadShare lets you setup a campaign in minutes and control exactly how
you capture leads. You can ask for traditional lead information such as
name, email address and phone number as well as custom questions suited
to your product or service. You can capture leads on SlideShare.net, on
your own site and anywhere the content gets embedded. Leads cost between
$1 to $22 depending on the level of qualification, and targeting.
Lead capture services typically require end users to first
complete lead information before downloading a whitepaper.
LeadShare inverts this process by asking businesses to share content,
participate in community, and lets end users choose if and when to get
in touch.
JT Keating, VP Marketing for CoreTrace and an early user of the system,
said, ?LeadShare is a revolutionary and cost-effective idea. In less
than five minutes, LeadShare increases the ROI of any document by
letting me add lead capture ability to it. I can decide exactly what
type of leads I want to capture, including how much qualification and
targeting, and get charged only if leads are generated.?
The second business service, AdShare, lets user promote their content to
SlideShare?s community of technology & business decision makers.
Promoted content shows next to contextually relevant content and can be
geographically targeted. Pricing starts at $0.25 per click. The AdShare
algorithm favors quality content that users like and click on. If
content is not clicked on by the SlideShare community, it gets promoted
less often. AdShare is a self-service product that businesses can manage
on their own.
Scott Schwertly, CEO of Ethos3 and an early user of AdShare said, "As
the CEO of a presentation design firm, it's important that we get
samples of our presentations in front of the right people. AdShare has
been a great resource to make that happen."
The two services LeadShare and AdShare are complementary. You can use
AdShare to get more views (and therefore capture more leads).
Additionally, both services are pay for performance. LeadShare is paid
on Cost Per Lead and AdShare is paid on a Cost Per Click basis.
