A recent integration with the Twilio API extended the Kynetx Rules Language into the telephony and SMS arena. A contest was held for Kynetx and Twilio developers using the new integration and produced some innovative results. Developer Julian Gay won the contest with his Playdate app that offers group SMS functionality for parents to easily coordinate play times. Playdate works by allowing parents to broadcast where they will be heading to play with their kids. Julian describes it as a "future check-in." Julian used the Kynetx development platform to create an event-driven process initiated by a single SMS message, then broadcast it through the Twilio platform.
