Michael Malcy Joins Alticast as Senior Vice President, Business Development

DENVER/PRNewswire/ -- Alticast, a worldwide leader in deployed interactive television solutions, announced today that it has tapped iTV industry expert Michael Malcy to serve as the company's Senior Vice President of Business Development.  Malcy, who has spent over 19 years in the digital media industry, most recently served as Vice President, Marketing, The Americas at Advanced Digital Broadcast & Vidiom Systems.

Mike, who officially joins Alticast on March 25, has served as Business Development, Marketing, and legal at Vidiom/ADB over the past 8 years.  Prior to joining Vidiom, he spent three years as Vice President of Samsung's Product Innovation Laboratory, where he was responsible for introducing the company's HDTV, MP-3 and cable industry products.

Previously, Mike spent five years as Marketing Manager at Sharp Laboratories, where his activities included overseeing standards, government policy and the company's collaboration with CableLabs on advanced digital video solutions.  Mike has additional experience in the broadcast industry and is actively involved in numerous industry organizations, including CTAM, SCTE and CEA.
