Amwest Expands User Base by Launching iPad, and iPod Touch Encryption Application, and Applies to Apple "App'" Store

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire) - Amwest Imaging Incorporated (OTCBB: AMWI) is pleased to announce it has completed the development of its iPad and iPod touch Application and is currently pending approval release on Apple's app store.

As with the iPhone App, the Zipclik iPad and iPod touch application provides the ability to utilize peer to peer powerfully 256 AES encryption for voice calls between iPhone and iPad, and iPad and landline users. This allows hundreds of millions of mainstream Skype, AIM, iChat, and other (VOIP) users as well as iPhone users complete privacy through voice (VOIP) and data encryption. For $99 USD users can download a version of the ZipClik 256 AES Encryption privacy key software; which will prove a powerful and innovative solution to ensure secure and private conversation, and data transfer.

"This additional launch of the iPad and iPod touch 256 AES Key Encryption expands our available core customer base one more level to ensure that Zipclik as a division of Amwest continues to capture as much market share of this Multi-Billion Dollar sector of a rapidly growing area as possible," stated CEO Jason Gerteisen.

In addition Wired magazine announces that iTunes now boasts over 200 million users and the popularity of Skype software continues to grow past 600 million registered users. With iTunes downloadable content reaching $2.4 billion a year in sales it is a great outlet for software distribution and strong revenues.

Amwest believes iTunes is a great distribution partner and a key to success because "the iPhone represented 60 percent of U.S. smartphone usage in AdMob's network in July 2009, followed by RIM and Android devices at 13% and 12% percent, respectively."

In addition:

  • Each month, Android and iPhone users download approximately 10 new apps, while iPod touch and iPad owners download an average of 18.

  • Nearly 50 percent of iPhone users and 40 percent of iPod touch users buy at least one app every month vs. 19 percent of Android-based phone owners.
