Marketers Events Calendar infographic lists UK conferences, seminars and training events for marketing folk throughout 2013

 

London, UK ---- An infographic showing the vast array of marketing and social media related events to be held throughout UK this year has been unveiled.

The infographic entitled ‘Marketers Events Calendar’ was created by communications consultancy Elemental, highlights conferences, events, expos, exhibitions seminars, training and workshops. The Marketers Events Calendar covers areas such as advertising, content, data, digital, marketing, mobile, PR and social media that marketing professionals should keep a check on. The calendar gives details of the city, website, Twitter handle and the event hashtag if there’s one. Events organised in 2012 that are yet to confirm a 2013 date have also been included, are shown in grey out to avoid confusion.

Tim Gibbon, director at communications consultancy Elemental Communications explains, “It would be impossible to add everything in this type of infographic, but we have included a comprehensive list conferences relevant to both agency and brand-side professionals throughout this year. Having an idea of what events are coming up and when, will also enable marketers to plan ahead for 2014.”

The infographic has been made conjunction with news and information site Social Media Portal (SMP), a resource created by Elemental in 2007. SMP is a media partner of a number of conferences included in Marketers Events Calendar.

We knew there were a lot, but it was still surprising to get a better picture of the sheer number of them. Marketers Event Calendar is designed to be organic and will be updated periodically throughout the year – but at this yearly stage without feedback from outside parties there are 123 events included. As far as I’m aware, it’s the most comprehensive list of UK events of this nature there is, and we’ll be looking to make future editions interactive.”

“We’ll be considering the inclusion of other events due to the nature of what we do and the industry we work in. There will undoubtedly be changes and additions throughout the year. If event organisers and publishers wish to add their events for consideration they can do this via the SMP event page and adding them via the submission form following the inclusion guidelines. Users will need to register before they can add their event, but SMP is entirely a free resource,” adds Gibbon.

Data visualisations and infographics are a great way to display certain types information allowing Elemental not only to add events, but resources that can marketers find similar events. Look to the Elemental blog for additions and updates to the infographic.
