TEL AVIV, ISRAEL--(Marketwired) - Cytegic, a developer of cybersecurity management solutions, and Scitum -- an affiliate company of Telmex, the largest telecommunication company in Mexico -- today announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement. Once in effect, Scitum will distribute Cytegic's cybersecurity software suite in Mexico and Latin American markets.

As cybersecurity threats are increasing and growing more complex, boardroom-level understanding of the business impact of this trend is lagging behind. Technical teams, on the other hand, face ever-evolving challenges, and the knowledge gap within organizations is widening.

Cytegic's unique solutions are the first cybersecurity management products designed for an executive audience. It provides executives -- CEOs, senior managers and directors -- with a comprehensive, synergetic, clear and dynamic snapshot of their organization's cyber-readiness. It also provides them with a set of advanced tools enabling them to make informed intelligence-based decisions to address cyber threats. Cytegic's technology also enables technical personnel to educate board-level executives as to the potential business impact of cyber risks.

Scitum is an affiliate company of Telmex -- the largest telecommunication company in Mexico -- and part of Carlos Slim's Grupo Carso. It provides IT security solutions and services to private corporations and government agencies in Mexico and throughout Latin America.

According to the cooperation agreement, Cytegic will provide Scitum with its unique knowledge, software products and training the local sales and support personnel. Scitum will market and distribute the products with its existing customer base and new customer base throughout the continent.

Shay Zandani, Cytegic CEO, said: "Our technology presents executives with a first of its kind, pro-active and automated solution, which provides status of cyber defenses, an intelligence-based forecast tool and an on-line control dashboard integrating the whole system. This enables executives to focus their attention to the cyber risks posing the greatest risks to the organization, and ensures resources and personnel are allocated efficiently.

Carmi Gillon, Cytegic Chairman, said: "Cyber threats -- whether from cyber-crime or orchestrated attacks on critical infrastructure -- are becoming a growing risk factor to organizations, but the troops on the frontlines are overwhelmed. It's time for the generals -- CEOs and board members -- to join the fight. Cytegic's solutions equip them with the tools to prepare their defenses and protect their assets".
