Internet video company Mogulus raises $1.5m from angel investors

Live broadcasting platform, Mogulus, have raised a further $1.5 million USD from angel investors. Combined with funding they received in May 2007, Mogulus have raised a cool total of $2.7 million.

Max Hoat, founder of Mogulus says on his blog, "We are very excited about this new funding and to have our new investors on board - some of which are strategic and will bring value to Mogulus in other ways. More on this soon as we will announce our new board of advisor."

According to the Mogulus website, they are looking to make a stream of enhancements to their offering in the near future.

"Mogulus has even bigger plans for innovation and interactivity on our roadmap. Specifically, we're focusing on two types of interactivity:

Viewers will be able to call their channel of choice, and participate in interviews and discussions using a web cam. Producers will have the ability to screen calls using the Mogulus studio switchboard, and can put a viewer live on the air.

Interactive graphics and hyperlinks will usher in a new generation of programming, including the innovative use of polls, games, and much more."

New York based Mogulus' have their development office in Bangalore, India.

Mogulus competitor Ustream.TV received $2 million in funding less than one month ago.
