Facebook has announced the launch of The Facebook Platform Marketplace to help brands and developers connect with each other.
Utilising the existing Marketplace technology, the Developer?s Marketplace will build a community where budgets can be met with skill sets.
The announcement was made yesterday on the
Facebook Developer?s Blog
by Dave Morin, who says, ?Everyday the team here at Facebook talks with thousands of people, businesses, and some of the biggest brands worldwide who are looking to find contract development services, or developers to join their team. We're planning on sending every single one of them to the Facebook Platform Marketplace, so the opportunity is huge!?
From now, those logging on to the
Marketplace section on Facebook will have the option of posting a:
Developers WantedFor heads of marketing for a large brand, an independent business person with a great idea, or just someone looking for a teammate in building an application
Developers AvailableFor individual developers looking to do work on the side and are willing to take on some projects, or full-service, premiere Facebook Platform development shops
Facebook will add new features to the Developer?s Platform over the coming months to make it more relevant to its users.
