Constructed in partnership with BMX Mania, the site not only offers fans a rallying point where they can exchange their interest-related experiences and thoughts, but will also feed their discussions with behind-the-scenes games coverage and lifestyle features, real-time news feeds, videos, photos, exclusive interviews and other content.

An additional lure is the possibility to learn about and even interact with the Olympic athletes themselves.  Mike Day, Jared Graves, Jill Kintner, Robert de Wilde and Damien Godet are among the big names that fans can connect with through their interactive profiles.

The event was engineered with a view to celebrate the accession of BMX this year to the rank of Olympic medal sport, and in order to help it make its long-awaited transition from niche to mainstream status.

Jerry Landrum of BMX Mania was unreserved in voicing his confidence, ?This community will be the perfect venue to keep BMX Racing enthusiasts informed up to the minute (and) to educate the world on the sport of BMX,? he says.

It is not unlikely that the 75, 000 Loop?d members interested in BMX share his hopes.
