The documentary, produced by Les Ottolenghi and Ashley Reid of PLAT4M STUDIOS LLC in Atlanta, is an effort spread awareness on the reality of cyberbullying.  Directed by Muta?Ali Muhammad, the film shares the stories of children and families affected by cyberbullying whether social media, texting or other digital channels.  It includes testimonials of those bullied, experts on the subject to educates parents, teachers, counsellors, and bystanders and includes practical information on how they can help people experiencing bullying.

?I came home from work one night and turned on the local news and saw the story of an 11 year-old boy who had been cyberbullied and then committed suicide. I thought about my one-year old son and thought this can?t happen again, this can?t happen to anyone else?s child, this can?t happen to our child. So I made this movie so these wonderful and powerful technologies that can be used in very good ways were not used in bad ways. I made this film so that all of you that are watching it become aware and not bystanders,? explains Les Ottolenghi, producer.

Over 80 private screenings have been requested by American and Canadian schools and youth organisations, including the PLUS Program in California.  One example of a school participating is Westlake High School in Atlanta, GA which starts the school's anti-bullying campaign that the SUBMIT production team is attending.  On Tuesday it promoted Mix-It-Up day and for this Thursday it has organised a Stop the Violence Pep Rally in which people can get involved in via Westlake Twitter @westlakelions.

SUBMIT is using the Twitter hash tags to campaign and spread awareness #NoBystanders and #SubmitYourStory from @submitthedoc.

Schools and organisations in the US can request the SUBMIT-PLUS PROGRAM assembly via the Submit the Documentary website http://www.submitthedocumentary.com. SUBMIT has also been accepted into the 2013 Atlanta Film Fest and 2013 Buffalo Niagara Film Fest.
